About

Well, first thing’s first – Start It Up TV is NOT

  • Boring, filled with nonsense, out to scam you, or a waste of your time
  • Your college professor lecturing you about some mundane topic you could undoubtedly teach yourself in half the time and still get an “A” in the course
  • Interested in having you memorize and recite facts or test your “knowledge” using a Scantron

Okay – Start It Up TV is a video blog created by Matthew Racz that is intended to provide current and prospective college students with tons of resources and information about creating, launching, and running a business while in college.

Start It Up TV is also:

  • Dedicated to the sharing of knowledge, experiences and ideas about student entrepreneurship
  • A community built by college students all over the country who are already involved in entrepreneurship, looking to get involved in entrepreneurship, or simply seeking some creative and innovative inspiration
  • Your guide to starting something – anything – and making sure you succeed at it.

Let’s work together to learn about this insanely captivating topic and figure out how to avoid the typical 9-5 corporate job that everyone tries their hardest to pretend to enjoy (come on…they’re not fooling anybody).

History – Let’s Keep It Short…

Matthew Racz graduated from the University of Delaware in May of 2011 with a BS inOperations Management and a concentration in Entrepreneurial Studies. While at UD, he ran a healthy cookie company called Gotta BYOM Cookies (which is now being ran by his sister – Andrea Racz), was president of the Entrepreneurship Club, received the Scott Jones Delaware Innovation Fund Scholarship, and was involved in the university’s Venture Development Center. His true passion in life is entrepreneurship and his goal is to build a community of college students who are looking to absolutely kill it as a student entrepreneur. He created Start It Up TV as a way to figure out what he wants to do with his life, build a network of totally cool people, start something exciting, and get out of his comfort zone. He believes every college student should attempt to start some sort of business, whatever the size, and go through the process of pure creation. It’s pretty liberating.

Quick Message:

I have learned that life comes down to experiences. Those who constantly experience new things and reflect on questions such as, “what if?” or “why?” are undoubtedly more creative. Your mind is able to make more connections between unrelated things – the heart of innovation. To innovate is the most beautiful act in the world. It is seeing simplicity in chaos. It is looking at our universe from an elevated view. It seems life comes down to having a vision. Not just any vision will do. Make it a bold and beautiful vision – one that is compelling and colorful. Couple vision with passion and perhaps you will surprise yourself with the outcome. Perhaps you’ll be where you always hoped you would be. Not enough people in this world are where they wish they were deep down – and that’s a shame. Be one of those people. Create something for yourself and stop wasting all of your time playing video games, watching TV and drinking your face off. At the very least, find something you enjoy doing, think of a way to monetize it, and start it up!

Make life happen.
